Yesterday – Two of 8ight

Yesterday we gave Banjo a bath and afterwards he went mad all around the living room trying to get himself dry. He went clean through the sliding flyscreen door knocking it completely off the runners!

I tell you what that dog Marley has got nothing on Banjo!

Dogs  – Six of 8ight

I think I could turn and live with animals ,
they are so placid and self-contained
I stand and look at them long and long .
They do not sweat and whine about their condition ,
They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins ,
They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God ,
Not one is dissatisfied ,
not one is demented with the mania of owning things ,
Not one kneels to another ,
nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago ,
Not one is respectable or industrious over the whole earth .

Walt Whitman. ( I couldn’t have put it better myself )

Ricoh Mono – Eight of 8ight

The last image in the Ricoh GX200 monochrome series.
Taken last evening whilst out walking the dog.
How to keep the camera steady with one hand and holding a four year old 35KG Yellow Labrador in the other requires a technique that you won’t find in any photography manual! I guarantee.

Adobe Lightroom Presets – Seven of 8ight

Eight images tweaked using ‘Presets’ in Adobe Lightroom.

We had a heavy fall of rain in the middle of the night so this morning there was plenty of puddles for Banjo and I to play in. Taking the dog for a walk with a D200 is a good excuse not to have to hold the leash. The English nurse, she’s so understanding. Anyway here’s a mucky brown puddle for you.
