Yesterday – Eight of 8ight

Yesterday evening whilst taking Banjo for a walk I almost stepped on this little fella. Don’t expect a perfect picture as my hands were shaking!

Yesterday – Seven of 8ight

Yesterday I took this picture and processed it in Lightroom using a mixture of presets.

Yesterday after the day at school I needed a beer.

Yesterday I remembered that teachers still get upset if pupils don’t do their homework and mess about in class.

Yesterday it came home to me just how much school and parents attitudes have changed. “Little Bill won’t be in school today because we are taking him shopping, then to see a concert”

STEWTH!

Yesterday – Six of 8ight

Yesterday I went to take a picture and nothing happened, but then we are talking about Mount Surprise. Just a normal day where nothing but everything happens if you get my meaning.

Reminds me of an old Monty Python Sketch

“All of a sudden nothing happened”

Don’t worry about the camera it always does that. It’s my old Pentax istDS the first shot is always blank.

Yesterday – Four of 8ight

Yesterday I returned to the bit of scrub that we backburned on the weekend. The old Land Rover Series IIA looked a sorry sight.

Vehicle number 25301815a One of Solihull’s finest now left to rot in a foreign field far far away from home. Still at least I rescued the front grill before the fire got to it. No doubt it will make a lovely postcard / letter holder.

A Message to Rudi

Yesterday – Three of 8ight

Yesterday, Yesterday Oh my Yesterday!! I sat glued to SBS watching England go one up in the Ashes series. There’s nothing like a War, a Royal Wedding, World Cup or an Ashes series to unite the country is there? Never mind a cult hero like Freddie!

Up until that last wicket was taken I still didn’t write the Aussies off.
Ponting was given a hard time by the English fans during the test and rightly so. He always moans and calls us cheats when things aren’t quite going his way.
I was quite surprised then that he made no mention during his postmatch interview with Athers of the poor umpiring decisions that went against his side in the second innings. Personally I couldn’t care less! Having suffered for 20 years I’ll take a win anyway we can.
Bowl Underarm even?

Anyway thank you Rudi Koertzen for your help and with respect to that old Specials song from the 80’s…

A Message To Rudi

Stop your messing around
Better think of your future
That ball straightened right out
Creating problems in town

Rudi, a message to you
Rudi a message to you

Stop your fooling around
Ponting says not out
Better think of your future
Else you’ll wind up as a bail

Rudi, a message to you
Rudi, a message to you

Stop your messing around
Better think of your future
But the Poms thought it was out
Don’t let the Aussies get you down

Rudi, a message to you
Rudi, a message to you
Rudi, a message to you
Rudi, a message to you….

THANKYOU

Yesterday – Two of 8ight

Yesterday we gave Banjo a bath and afterwards he went mad all around the living room trying to get himself dry. He went clean through the sliding flyscreen door knocking it completely off the runners!

I tell you what that dog Marley has got nothing on Banjo!
